Privacy Policy
Trachtenberg Kids · Last updated: 9 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hayde Tech Ltd ("we", "us", "our")
collects and uses information in the Trachtenberg Kids mobile app
(the "App"). The App is a learning game that teaches children fast mental-math tricks.
Accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian ("you").
Because the App is made for children, this policy is written to meet the US
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK/EU
GDPR rules protecting children's data. The short version: we collect the
minimum needed to run the App, we show no advertising, we use
no third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell
personal information.
1. Who we are
Hayde Tech Ltd is the data controller for the App. You can reach us at
info@haydetech.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information (about the parent). When a grown-up signs in with
Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and, depending on what the provider
returns, an email address and name. This identifies the family account. Children do not
create accounts.
- Child profile information (entered by the parent). A parent may add one
or more kid profiles. For each, we store a first name or nickname, an age, and a chosen
avatar/colour theme. We ask for a first name/nickname only — please do not enter a full
name or other identifying details.
- Learning activity. Lesson results, accuracy, practice and speed-round
scores, streaks, and progress through the curriculum, so the App can track progress and
unlock the next lesson.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, the purchase is processed by
Apple (the App Store). We receive a subscription status and identifiers from our payments
provider (RevenueCat). We never see or store your card or payment details.
Purchases can only be started from behind the App's parental gate.
- Technical information. Basic device/app information needed to operate
and secure the service (e.g. app version, a device/session identifier).
Information we do not collect
- No precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
- No advertising identifiers, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- No messages, chat, or user-generated content — the App has none, so a child can never
post or share anything publicly through it.
3. How we use information
- To provide the App: save progress, sync across the family's devices, and personalise
each kid's experience (mascot, colours). A child's age is used only to tune lessons —
not to profile or market to them.
- To manage your account and subscription (unlocking premium content).
- To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems.
- To respond to your requests and support messages.
We do not show third-party advertising, we do not sell
personal information, we do not use children's data for marketing, and we do
not use the data to build advertising or behavioural profiles of children.
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (providing the App),
and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
4. Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR)
- Parental consent. The App requires a grown-up to create and sign in to
the family account before any child can use it. All child profile information (first
name/nickname, age) is entered by the parent. By creating profiles for your child, you
consent to the collection described in this policy. We treat the parent as the account
holder at all times.
- Data minimisation. We knowingly collect from children's use of the App
only their in-game answers and progress. We do not require a child to disclose more
information than is reasonably necessary to use the App, and participation is never
conditioned on providing extra data.
- No disclosure. Children's information is never made public, never shared
for advertising, and is disclosed only to the service providers in section 5, who may use
it solely to provide their service to us.
- Parental rights. As the parent, you can at any time:
- Review or edit a child's profile in the grown-up area of the App
(behind the parent PIN);
- Delete a child's profile, which removes that child's data;
- Delete the entire account with the "Delete account" option in the
grown-up area — this permanently deletes the family account, all kid profiles, and all
progress;
- Refuse further collection by deleting the account or simply not
using the App;
- or contact us at
info@haydetech.com to exercise
any of these for you.
- If something slips through. If you believe a child has provided us
information without parental involvement, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, under
agreements that limit their use of it to providing the service:
- Supabase — secure hosting, database, and sign-in infrastructure.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Apple / Google — sign-in and (Apple) payment processing.
None of these are permitted to use children's data for their own advertising or profiling.
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your data.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. You can delete a kid
profile, or the entire account and all its data, directly in the App
(grown-up area → Settings → Delete account). Account deletion is immediate and permanent.
You can also request deletion by emailing
info@haydetech.com, and we will
delete within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal or
accounting obligations. Deleting the account does not cancel an active subscription — manage
that in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under UK/EU GDPR), you may have rights to access,
correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information, and to data portability. You
may exercise these on your child's behalf as their parent or guardian. To do so, contact us
at info@haydetech.com. You also have
the right to complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information
Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk).
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level
database permissions) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100%
secure, but we work to protect your data.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where they do, appropriate
safeguards are used as required by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top and, where
appropriate, notify you in the App. If a change would materially expand what we collect from
children, we will seek fresh parental consent first.
